Stephen had Prayer Breakfast with Cecil this morning. Had to get him up at 6 so he’d be ready to leave at 7. He got home around 10.
While he was gone, I got the previlege of catching up the dishes… translated: wash what I couldn’t fit in the dishwasher. Aren’t I the lucky one?
Dr Kraus told us Thursday that we won’t be able to give Leora the quality of care she needs pretty soon. She needs 24/7 care and supervision. She doesn’t remember where the bathroom is..she says she’s never been to the one in this new house. She doesn’t want to sleep in “that” room. She wants to sleep in her own room. We don’t know where she thinks her room is if it isn’t the one she’s slept in for the past 5 years.
Had to call the ambulance for her Wednesday night. She was unresponsive for us and the EMTs. They said she was too hot. They hauled her to the hospital. Stephen wasn’t happy having to get up and dressed at midnight so we could go down there and find out what was going on. After 3 hours, it was decided she has that MERSA like infection in her bladder again. Back to 10 days of Cipro. At least they didn’t say 10 days of 2 times a day IV at the hospital. Whew. Cipro gives her the runs so the bathroom is off limits to Stephen and me for showers or going to the bathroom. We have to hurry if we want in. Sigh.
Donna says she thinks Pete and she are going to be coming up maybe after Christmas instead of February. We’ll see. She didn’t believe what Stephen and I told her on the phone Thursday afternoon.. she called Dr Kraus and talked to her. Guess that’s why she moved the date up to come up. She definitely doesn’t want Leora going into a home up here.
I did get a call from the cardiologist’s office Friday evening. The test for the cancer was “good” and no cancer flags were in the urine. Yay. I needed good news. Less worry for HayLee.
So that’s what’s been happening here. Same old crap. lol.
