Sigh...

70% chance it won't snow lightly tonight.  30% chance it will.  What do you think?  It feels cold enough.

Are you coming over tomorrow evening to have pulled pork tacos?  They aren't spicy or hot.  Just yummy.  And being the stupid brush pile is way too wet to burn (according to Stephen) we will have the firepit fired up.. on the deck.  I was so looking forward to the bonfire.  My plans never work out.

How's HayLee's cold?  Must be better if she's looking forward to her time in the limelight tonight.  How are you, Nic?  Haven't heard from you in ages.

Karen says to say howdy to the two of you.

Another day

Miss our chats like crazy.  Makes the day go faster.
What's up in your neck of the woods?  We're looking forward to Saturday.  I aked HayLee but never got an answer.... pulled pork sandwiches or pulled pork tacos?  Bring your appetites.  I'm guessing you will be over around the 5 or 6 o'clock hour.  Dark comes pretty early.
Will be earlier next week... the dratted "Fall Back" will be a week from this coming Sunday.  Yeah, the first Sunday in November.  I think it changes back the first Sunday in April..either that or the last Sunday in March.  I haven't looked at the calendar to see which yet.

And... get this.  Cable techs came out.  They changed something outside the house.  Then came in and told us our analog tvs aren't compatible to the new FiOS system.  Neither is my "ancient" computer.  Like who can afford to go replacing such items??  Are they going to give away new tvs and laptops for us that are outdated???  With the prices cable and internet service has gone, they should be able to give every last one of their customers the new up-to-date tvs and computers.  Sigh.

Wet Saturday ... yay us

Stephen had Prayer Breakfast with Cecil this morning. Had to get him up at 6 so he’d be ready to leave at 7. He got home around 10.
While he was gone, I got the previlege of catching up the dishes… translated: wash what I couldn’t fit in the dishwasher. Aren’t I the lucky one?
Dr Kraus told us Thursday that we won’t be able to give Leora the quality of care she needs pretty soon. She needs 24/7 care and supervision. She doesn’t remember where the bathroom is..she says she’s never been to the one in this new house. She doesn’t want to sleep in “that” room. She wants to sleep in her own room. We don’t know where she thinks her room is if it isn’t the one she’s slept in for the past 5 years.
Had to call the ambulance for her Wednesday night. She was unresponsive for us and the EMTs. They said she was too hot. They hauled her to the hospital. Stephen wasn’t happy having to get up and dressed at midnight so we could go down there and find out what was going on. After 3 hours, it was decided she has that MERSA like infection in her bladder again. Back to 10 days of Cipro. At least they didn’t say 10 days of 2 times a day IV at the hospital. Whew. Cipro gives her the runs so the bathroom is off limits to Stephen and me for showers or going to the bathroom. We have to hurry if we want in. Sigh.
Donna says she thinks Pete and she are going to be coming up maybe after Christmas instead of February. We’ll see. She didn’t believe what Stephen and I told her on the phone Thursday afternoon.. she called Dr Kraus and talked to her. Guess that’s why she moved the date up to come up. She definitely doesn’t want Leora going into a home up here.
I did get a call from the cardiologist’s office Friday evening. The test for the cancer was “good” and no cancer flags were in the urine. Yay. I needed good news. Less worry for HayLee.
So that’s what’s been happening here. Same old crap. lol.

Hello????

No sun.  Cloudy.  Boring.  Typical Monday.  Tomorrow if the sun comes out, Stephen is going to try to mow the back lawn and run the tractor low, low, low on gas so it can be stored for the winter.  The grass will be wet but he might pick up a few cherry leaves.  I am so glad that the maple tree is gone!  That thing sure dropped a ton of leaves.
Guess Jennifer won't be having her daughter on Nov 28th.  The doctor told her the baby would be delivered at 37 weeks.  Somewhere mid-November if not before.  Wonder if their counting was wrong?  I never got preggers so I don't know how they figure out due dates.  Never cared much to learn about it.
Wednesday the insurance fellow is coming at 9 to talk to us about our health insurance for next year.  And then the fellow is coming to clean the chimney.  Yay.  Cleaning the chimney for the first time since we moved in.  Hope the chimney itself doesn't fall apart.  You know our luck.

Another long day

Already Thursday about half way through the month.  So looking forward to the bonfire.  Be something different and fun for a change.
Leora is doing about the same.  She got the bathroom and her bedroom mixed up.  That made for a few tense moments, trying to get her turned around.  She's not happy with the clean sheets and blankets on her bed.  But we fear she is stashing her dirty disposable undies under her bed rather than put them in the garbage can in her room or the one in the bathroom.  I thought that by washing her bedding, the stink would stop.  The room reeks and will until I can figure out where she has those stinky things crammed.
She said she took a shower this morning.  Yeah, right.  She might have gotten into the shower but didn't bother to wash herself.  Stephen was half sick when I went in to take my lobster woman shower.  She had wiped her butt on a light pink towel and hung it up over the shower door.  Nothing like a couple of brown racing stripes against pink to turn one's stomach.  Guess who got the privilege of putting the towels in the washer with a big dose of bleach?  Sure wasn't Stephen.
I did ask her what she's doing with her disposables and she said she puts them in the garbage can.  I asked then if she was changing them like she's supposed to.  She just glared at me.  Come on, there were two pair in the can for 2 weeks worth of garbage.  Not one pair in the kitchen or bathroom garbage.  She really must treasure her stink.
I don't know if what she's doing is the dementia or if she thinks it makes her look so frail and elderly and people will do more for her.  Stephen has told her over and over that if she can't take care of herself, she'll have to be put in a home.  Which I'm afraid is where she is headed when she goes visiting in February.  I can't see Donna and Pete putting up with a stinky bedroom and a filthy bathroom.  Do I advise Donna to get white sheets, towels, etc so they can be  bleached?  Or let her find out on her own?
How are things in Sandpoint? I check with your blogs to see if anything is going on.  Ain't much happening in Oldtown.  Same old $h!t day in and day out.

Saturday, October 8, 2011

Sigh

It's below freezing at 9:30 in the morning.  Brrrrr.  Isn't it a little early for the frost to be here?  No, I haven't lit a fire.  Sent Leora back to bed until Stephen decides to get up.  Don't know when that will be.  He usually crawls out of the sack around 9.

Had a time with Leora last night.  She wanted a pencil to write something down.  Stephen found her an ink pen and she wrote "Oldtown"  "Orders"  on an old Family Food sales paper.  Have no idea what that means or what it's for.  Then she took it and hid it in her bedroom so we wouldn't be able to see what she wrote.

This morning she isn't any better.  She wants to be an @$$ today.  Guess she stayed up with her secrets last night.  In a way, February is way too far away.

Did talk with the doctor yesterday and she said that it is going to get worse as the winter progresses.  Anxiety causes her to act like a complete idiot.  Nice to know but that doesn't help us cope with her and her weird, stupid actions.

Where's the sun?  It's supposed to be sunny and warm today.  Not the low, low clouds/fog and freezy cold.  lol.

How was Dempsy's last night?

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

So much for getting up at 7....

Stephen said he wanted to get an early start on the pile of wood and get it put away before it starts raining again and to go pay the two local bills.  He's still in bed and it's after 9.  Guess he's in a different time zone.

Leora hasn't gotten up to go to the bathroom either.  That's not her usual routine.  She usually goes in there for 10 minutes, comes out and turns around and goes back.  She forgot she already has been in there forever.  lol

Supposed to start getting nippy at night.  Guess it's that time of the year.  We haven't had our first good freeze yet and here it is October.

What's happening in your neck of the woods?

HayLee, good luck tonight.

Monday, October 3, 2011

Long, long day

We got all the wood up off the front yard.  One cord is split and stacked.  We have the second one to split and stack.  Going to take forever to get it done... these are huge pieces of tree.  And not seasoned wood as promised.  Lots of pitch in the logs.

Stephen has a dr appt at 11:30 in Spokane.  Sigh.  Oh well, will give me more "knot tying" time.  Stephen wants his afghan so badly it's not funny.  I'll get it done before full winter.

Waiting patiently for Stephen to watch his 9 o'clock show.  And it's not even 8 yet.  Sheesh.  Has time stopped moving?

Saturday, October 1, 2011

Gonna be a long Saturday....

I conked out about midnight, woke up at 2 and finally got up at 5:30.  Tired of listening to everybody snore.  lol.
It was raining at 5:30 but looks like it's clearing up at 8.  Guess we go out and clear the French drains today to get ready for winter.  Yay us.
Hope to see you some day soon.  Miss gabbing with you both.  Would love to have bbq and share with you.  Still have the pork ribbies and cobbets waiting for a feasty.  Let me know ahead of time so we can thaw the meat and pre-cook it so it will be tender and yummy.
Don't know which of the two blogs you read so I post to both.

Friday, September 30, 2011

Where has time went?

One day it's mid August, I blink and it's the last day of September.  Sigh.

Got the roof on the wood shed.  Looks like something I'd attempt to build.  Not a nice pretty job.  Oh well, it fits with the house and the fence.  The guy said he'd probably deliver 1 cord of wood today and another either Sat or Sun.  I see a lot of hard work in the next few days..  throwing it up on the porch and then stacking it under the roof.

Doing a 24 hour pee test to rule out another cause of the passing out.  Just what I want to do... be stuck peeing in a bottle for the next 24 hours.  Oh joy.

Monday, September 26, 2011

Sigh. Only good thing is that....

1.  The alarm on my cellphone works.
2.  The electricity was on when we woke up.

The rest of the morning went in the toilet.  Leora is in one of her addlepated moods.  She got pissed because Stephen asked her 4 times if she needed in the bathroom before he hopped in the shower.  And yes, she needed in there as soon as she heard the water come on.  Sigh.  He got mad because she was trying to get the door open with me telling her Stephen was in there.  She finally stomped off to her bedroom and stayed in there until we both got showered.  Then she ran into the bathroom for half an hour.  No.  She has not showered since last Thursday.  Yes.  She reeks but that's her normal.  She can't smell herself.  She says she can't smell anything anymore.  Bad thing is.. she has to ride with us to the cardiologist and she rides in the front seat in front of the ac.  Ugh.  Phew.  But we can't leave a senseless person home alone.

Have the dishes in the dishwasher but Stephen didn't hook it up so they aren't washing.  AWK!!!

Didn't see you online this morning.  Miss chatting.  Miss "talking" with normal people.

Sunday, September 25, 2011

Another Long Sunday

Woke up to no electric.  Called Avista on the cell and they said that 391 customers in the area were without electricity and that it would be on approximately at 12 or 12:30.  Grumbling, I went and curled back up on the bed... no internet, no tv, NO COFFEE.  Argh.  We were lucky, the electric came back on around 8:30.  Yay!  COFFEE!!!!!!!!!  Yes, I thought of 1.  lighting the stove and making coffee  2.  lighting the bbqer and making coffee.  But I need to get a regular stove top/camping coffee pot.  I can't make coffee worth a damn in a regular cooking pot.

Got my hair re-redded but it's the color that I didn't like.  I forgot there was still a box in the bathroom and that's the one Stephen used.  I have magenta red hair instead of carrot red or strawberry blonde.  Sigh.

Have an appointment with the cardiologist at 3:20 in Spokane tomorrow.  Have an appointment with the shoulder/arthritis doc Tuesday mid day.

But no more appointments for the rest of the week.  Next Tuesday, Stephen goes to see his cardiologist.  Don't know what else October will bring.

We have your anniversary present here and HayLee's birthday present.  When the two of you get over this way... If you let us know the day or so before, we'll get the pork ribs out of the freezer and get them thawed and we can eat until we are full of bbq ribs.  The porch will be neat to eat on.. no bugs trying to swipe a few bites.

Depressed today.  Guess it's just the way things are going to be for a while.  Hate being this sad.  Makes my stomach ache.

Saturday, September 24, 2011

Sigh

Dinner was a disaster.  Nothing turned out right.  Should have known when I don't feel good not to try to cook.  Stephen got up to help and dropped one of my new kitchen gadgets... yep... broke it.  Oh well.  Nothing I can do about it now, is there?

Hello? Anyone reading this?

Been a long short day.  Stephen didn't get up until 10.  Which means I'm off on my time for cooking supper/dinner.  Meat won't be done until 5 or after.  Instead of pulled pork tacos, we'll be having chili colorado tacos.

Happy first anniversary, Carlee.  I know HayLee left you alone on your anniversary.  Sigh.

I'm tired.  Stayed awake all night with a personal summer.  If it's that bad again, I'll just stay up tonight instead of even trying to close my eyes.  I hate swimming on the mattress.  Ugh.

Stephen got the bugs sprayed around the foundation, windows and doors.  Maybe they won't be using the indoors as a throughfare.

Thursday, September 22, 2011

Banging head against the wall....

Stephen went to dr this afternoon.  Doc ordered the test to see if he has developed hemotomachrosis.  Had to haul the old lady with us because she was afraid someone would try to get into the house.  Who?  I don't know.  But somebody in her empty mind...I guess.

Not much else happening today.  Same old same old.

I still think I should start drinking so things wouldn't be so darned aggrivating.  At least maybe I wouldn't be fighting a losing battle.  Sigh.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

WOO HOO!!!!

Got the back deck finished except for the paint.  We can have a bbq and eat out without the bugs!!!!

Stephen was trying to start the mower on the slope in the backyard and ended up flat of his back.  Now he has a few more bruises and owies to deal with.

Boots kind of likes the back deck like it is except that he can't cut out the corner but has to use the door and he doesn't like that much.  He has to wait for the door to be opened for him.

How are things going for you??  Haven't heard much from you in a while.  Been going outside and working instead of being online to chat.  I know I should be enjoying the going outside because pretty soon there won't be a yard to be out in..  lol.

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Trudged through Tuesday...

Tired and cranky.  Going to be a late dinner.  Sigh.  But we did get all the outside stuff done on the back deck.  Now to fill in the cracks and holes from the inside.  And we have to get the paint to finish it up.  That might not happen until next Spring.

Do you want to come to dinner for your anniversay/HayLee's birthday??  Pork ribs and corn.  Not much else.  $$ is short for some reason.  I'm still scratching my head as to where it went.

I can't believe that there is only 2 weeks left in September.  Where did the blinking month go??????  Seems like Labor Day was just yesterday.

Let me know when I get to go with you on a weekend night.  I want to do my hair before hand and maybe, just maybe use a bit of makeup.  Would I wear jeans?  A dress?  (Dress means shaving of fur.  lol)

Stephen yelled at his mom.  She was moving dishes from the table to the sink to the stove to the table, you get the picture.  He was trying to put dinner on and she was piddling around in his way.  Sigh.

Sunday, September 18, 2011

Lazy Sunday

Been crocheting.  Stephen is fixing hambuggies for dinner.  Mom is as usual.  Boots doesn't like the wet grass.

How was your weekend?  Did you rest yesterday and today?  Ours was the same old same old.  Planned on working on the deck but didn't want Stephen catching a cold.  Didn't get much wet stuff but it's a tad bid damp out anyway.

Working like crazy on your anniversary present.  I might get it done in time.  Sigh.  Do you want to come over for bbq ribs and corn on the cob the days off before or after?  Your cake is still frozen.

Does HayLee get her birthday off?

Don't have much to say today.  My eyes are all blurry from crocheting all afternoon and I'm heading back to get another round or two done today.

Leora goes for an iron infusion tomorrow at 10 along with her bladder drain.  Don't know if Stephen is expecting me to be dragged along or if he will let me stay home with Boots.  Guess I'll find out in the morning.  lol

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Didn't do a darned thing today.....

Got my boobs smashed.  The techs and the xray doc assure me that the big mass in the right breast is nothing to worry about even though it stays sore.  Then they tell me to be sure and talk to my doctor about it.

Made soupas for supper.  Yum.  Good Portugese food.  Boots thinks he's starving while it's cooking.  Poor Boots.

Did you have fun last night?  Boots had me up before 4 this morning.  There was a lot of traffic on Spring Street.  Don't know why.. nothing was any different than usual.  Are you working tonight?

Had to go get nails for the porch.  Dang.  Those things aren't cheap any more.  Good thing we had a reward card.  Didn't cost us much ... I think we ended up paying $1.96..  had to pay the taxes.  Sigh.  Oh well, I think I got him enough nails to do the job twice over.  lol.

Sunday, September 11, 2011

Mags got to go home.

Hopefully he enjoyed his stay.  He sure did a lot of galloping around!  He only fell down the mountain a couple times.  Guess he's not used to the steep terrain.  lol.

Stephen says that he wouldn't mind going with you some time.  For a night out.  But he worries what we would do with Leora.  She should be okay as long as it's warm enough not to have to have a fire.  And if we fed her before we took off.  She'd be okay with Boots.  And I could call and check on her occasionally.  Stephen says I can get a new pair of shoes for the outing!!!!!  But he says it will have to be when we have a little $$$.  Not that he can drink.. makes him very sick.  (leaves more for me.. he he he)

Bet you two crashed as soon as you hit the front door.  Hope you have an easy "Monday."

I'm hearing my bed call too and it's only 5.  Sigh.  Got to get up in the morning... it's bladder day for Leora.  Dishwashing day for me... I get them done while the two of them are gone.

Saturday, September 10, 2011

Long Saturday

Not much happening.  Didn't expect much to happen.  Pooches got me up at 6 to go potty.  Too late to go back to bed, stayed up.

Stephen put his order in for Zoom cereal tomorrow morning.  I'll make it for him and Leora but I won't touch that nasty stuff.  YUCK!!!!!  I don't like cooked cereal since they quit making Wheat Hearts.

Stephen is watching a weird movie on SyFy.  Mags is sacked out at his feet.  Boots is under the computer chair.

Friday, September 9, 2011

Mags is missing his family lots and lots

He's parked himself next to Stephen's chair.  If Stephen gets up, Mags gets up.  He's  been groaning and moaning and sighing when he's not snoring.  Poor Mags.  He won't even eat his num num.. He just put it down next to the wood stove,

Hope you two are having fun in Spokane.  Enjoy the nice warm evenings this weekend.

Don't know what we'll be doing tomorrow.  Maybe finish sealing the fence.  Maybe nothing but keeping Mags happy.

Boots is still trying to bully Mags.  Silly Chihuahua.

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Sigh....

Was a very long day.  Took forever at the dr office in Spokane and then coming home there was 8 miles of 30 miles an hour behind a tow truck who was afraid he'd kick up loose gravel.  At least we didn't get caught in a jam from an accident.  Hope the biker that got hit is doing okay.

Don't know what time you'll be here in the morning.  I have to get the dishes in the dishwasher and the garbage carried out before you get here.  The garbage is ripe.  yuck.  I know that Stephen has been saying for the past 4 days he'd take it out but.......... if I want it out, I have to do it myself.

Mags should enjoy the yard while you are gone.  He'll probably sit on the porch waiting for you to get back.

Not much else happening so I guess I will go to bed.  Stephen is already there and Leora is getting ready for bed..

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

Boy, what a day

Stephen decided to finish the back fence.  Got it all up.  We would have been finished a lot sooner but Stephen kept turning the roll of wire the wrong way and ended up kinking it up.  Took forever to get it straightened out.  lol.

While we were up the mountain, Leora went to bible study.  I forgot to unlock the back door when I went out.. I went out the front door instead of the back.. stupid me.  Anyway, when we finished up, we were locked out.  No key.  And we knew Leora didn't have a key either.  Thank God the window to the laundry room was open.  Stephen wiggled his way through that little window.  As he was working his way through, Boots was up on his hind legs giving him doggie kisses (he was so happy that we were coming inside with him.)  Good thing Stephen is tall and skinnier than me.

Both of us are so stiff right now it's not funny.

Tomorrow morning Stephen takes Leora for her bladder drain and then we have to head for Spokane to her blood doctor for a follow up for her anemia.  The appointment is on Holland and is at 1.  So I am guessing I have to ride along to the hospital and then go from there to Spokane.  Yay me, not.

Leora got  her boobs mashed yesterday.  Mine was rescheduled to next Thursday at 10 am.. the same time as her bladder drain.  Do two chores with one trip.

Will we be seeing you Friday?  Has HayLee recovered enough to do your weekend fun?

Sunday, September 4, 2011

Wonder what tomorrow will bring???

Weather peeps say lots more hot weather for at least another 2 weeks.  Which I guess is good in a way.. we can get some more of the yard stuff done.  Stephen says we are going to start on the east fence when they get back from the bladder drain tomorrow.  Who knows??? We might have it finished this week.  Then we will complete the sealer job.  And then complete the back deck.

Tuesday is going to suck.  It's boob mash day... or should I say afternoon?  I hate having to have it done.  The "girls" are sore for a week afterwards.  My big hoots don't like being forced to be pancake thin.

Did you like your breakfast?  I'm sorry I didn't have more choices.  I had wanted OJ, fruit and pancakes along with the other stuff.  Kind of a breakfast buffet.  And it had to be cold outside.  Grrr.  But I guess I should be glad that it wasn't minus 15 out there, right??

Maybe we can get together and kick back again before the winter hits.  Not that winter will stop having a get together.

Remember we still have your cake in the freezer.  Been there almost a year without getting squashed!!!

Hope you got some sleep today.  I didn't see any toilet paper stuck anywhere so I am assuming you didn't pray to the toilet gods.  (been there, done that in my young and crazy days)

Thursday, September 1, 2011

September already

Where did the year go?????  Only 4 more months of 2011.  Yikes.  Christmas will be here way too soon.

Didn't get much rain nor thunder... only one giant clap of that.  the lightning lit up the sky and the thunder came almost at the same time.  Duh, do you think maybe we shouldn't have been up in the trees???  Our hair stood straight up.  That gives one a funny feeling!!!!  We might have gotten a quarter of an inch of rain in the cuple hours it did come down.  The air was so fresh!!

Woo hoo!  Only 3 more days until we have our breakfast!!!!!!

I am so not looking forward to that trip to Spokane tomorrow for the shot in the shoulder.  I am hoping it works though and I will be free to get the fence up so Mags can run the entire third of an acre.

Monday, August 29, 2011

Sigh

Stephen spent hours over at the hospital with Leora.  She told the nurse she had fallen and hurt her knee.  Yeah, she did years ago.. the first winter we were here.  She told the doctor it was a couple months ago so the doctor had an xray done of the knee.  I give up.  I think she hurt the knee when she was stomping the ants that only she could see yesterday morning.

going to bed... will see what tomorrow brings.

A Long Monday

Got everybody up a half hour later than usual.  Seemed to work out better for all parties.  Stephen took Leora over for her bladder thing.  Won't have to go back until Thursday.  He's kind of glad it's not a 3 day a week trip.. not that it's making much difference with her UTIs.  She won't do what the doctor asked her (rinse that part of herself when she goes in the bathroom...the bottle has been empty for a week.  Doesn't she know it's not a self filling bottle????  Guess I should put a pair of gloves on and fill it up for the old bird.)

The sprinkles were short lived.  Just enough to mark the porch rails with little dots.  And enough to make Boots decide he didn't want to go out and water the bushes.  Ha ha.

Saturday, August 27, 2011

Stephen is home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy to have him home.. I know it was for one night but that night seemed to take forever to pass.

Have to call on Monday to make him a cardiology appointment.  It's been almost a year since Newport had him hauled to Spokane.  Thank God they decided to let him stay here this time around.

Watched the weather channel last night and all the hoopla over Hurricane Irene.  I wouldn't want to be packed like a sardine in New York City this weekend.  Nope.  I'll stay here on the mountain.

Congrats to HayLee.  Hope she enjoys the new position.

Looking forward to next Sunday!  Breakfast on the "terrace" for all of us.  We can watch the sun come up while we chow down.  lol

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Stupid Wednesday, isn't it?

Feeling really low today.  Finished the one wooden panel.  Have some posts to cut off and ran out of screws to put the pickets up.  Stephen says we are starting the roof on the deck tomorrow..maybe.  Should take a day to put the metal roof on.  Then we will do the screen and paneling to enclose it.

Hope everybody is doing okay.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Sorry, missed yesterday

Had that MRI yesterday.  Took a little blue pill so I didn't tear up their machine (I absolutely hate small spaces!) so by the time I got home, all I managed to do was drag myself to bed.  Stayed there most of yesterday (in zombie land) and didn't move much until the alarm went off this morning.  Now I have a metallic taste in my mouth and feel like I've been put through the wringer.  ARGH.  No more little blue pills for me.

And as for the MRI, I now know what a sardine feels like crammed in a can with 6 of it's brethern.  Either that is the smallest MRI machine or I am extremely meaty and don't fit in "normal" areas.  lol

Stephen has to take the old bird down to the hospital to have the IV flushed today.  They didn't want to remove it until they find out if the 10 days of hell (actually 11) were enough or if she needs to go through this crap for another 10 days.  Stephen says if they want her to go through it another 10 days, the doctor can admit her @$$ to the hospital.  He is refusing to go through the being up before 5 to get her over there in the morning and having to be there until 11 each night for the second dose.  I don't blame him.  He's not able to get his 8 to 10 hours of sleep.

And she just went back into the bathroom for the 10th time this morning.  Yeah, she has the runs again/still.  Maybe her eating her fingernails and boogers isn't agreeing with her stomach.  She's worse than a 2 year old about putting stuff in her mouth.  Sigh.

We have to walk up the mountain (and fall back into the yard) and put a stake at the property line so we can start on the fence on the east side of the property.  Going to be sooooo much fun NOT.

This is yesterday's morning sky:

Pretty cool.  But it didn't live up to the old saying "Red sky in the morning, sailor take warning.."  No storm came through here.

Sunday, July 24, 2011

Long day, gonna be a short nght

Have to get everyone up early tomorrow morning.  She has her last IV treatment.  Yay and I have that stupid MRI.  They couldn't schedule it for the same time she's there but just after.  Sucks to have to be there so darned long.

Waiting for Stephen to give me a call but I forgot to set the phone for him and I don't think he will remember how to get to our phone number.  He's definitely not into the 21st century phone wise.

Hope your depression is getting better, Nic. Did you get any sleep?  Hope you and HayLee don't have a hard "Monday" and that it goes smooth as silk for you  both.

Maybe this blog will be easier to get in to.  Have you set up a blog yet so I can have something to read, Nic?  I know our hours are not lining up.

Back to working on the fence Tuesday.  I am so thrilled.  Sigh.  Be glad when the place is all fenced.  Then you can bring Mags over and let him roam the property.  Plenty of trees for him to water, right?

Sunday

Going to be another long day.  One more night and one more early morning and then no more twice a day to the hospital with Leora.  Yay.  But now she claims she's sick so she's on the BRAT diet (banana, rice and toast) until she quits feeling "queasy" to her stomach.  (Her words, not mine)

We won't be dong any yardwork until after Monday... too tired to get anything done with the short time between hospital trips.
